There are loads of family-oriented things to do in Miami with kids, and you can find something that everyone in your family will love. Or you can find a different event for each day of your trip, a specific day for each family member, to do the things he or she wants to do.

Do you want a relaxing holiday, there are many parks and beaches where you can sunbathe, swim and do water exercises like paragliding and skiing. Explore the numerous trails and discover flora and fauna of the region. Enjoy all the sounds and images of Miami’s nature and wildlife when visiting parks and beaches, including Miami Beach and South Beach.

In addition to the beaches and parks, there are all kinds of family activities in and around Miami. Some of the places and things to do in Miami with kids that you must try on your next trip to Miami are:

Everglades National Park

I have placed the Everglades National Park on the position top in the list of “things to do in Miami with kids. “ For a fun day, take the family to Everglades National Park, where you’ll find Bobcat Drive, an easy quarter-mile route for hikers of all ages. Be sure to take a two-hour tour of the park, where you can see many wild animals, including birds and alligators.

Gold Coast Railroad Museum

Anyone interested in the history of trains will love the exhibits here. There are plenty of historic cars, a miniature train in action, a train for children to play in, and even a train at certain times of the day.

Miami Children’s Museum

Miami Children's Museum

Miami Children’s Museum got the third position in my list of best things to do in Miami with kids. There are many interactive displays where children can hold and have fun, and all are specially designed for children. Beneath is a city with a bank, a fire station, a veterinary clinic, a supermarket, a hospital, and even a children’s television station. There’s also a kids’ climbing wall for more adventurous adventures.

Miami Science Museum & Space Transit Planetarium

Here you will find all kinds of interactive exhibits for older children, daily show planets, and an outdoor wildlife center with birds, turtles, snakes, and other reptiles. Many temporary exhibitions are still on display, so you can visit Miami anytime and always see something different.

Zoos

You should not ignore the zoo of Miami in your list of many things to do in Miami with kids. Not to be overlooked is the Miami Zoo on your list of many things to do in Miami with children. Zoos are often the only place where many people encounter certain species. Here you will find the great Miami zoos that house many exciting and unique animals, and there are also ways to get up close and personal with some animals.

Zoos

Miami Metrozoo

This zoo houses more than 1,200 animals divided into geographic areas of origin, including Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Feed the giraffes at the feeding station or cycle safely and watch the koala Deo.

Miami Seaquarium

Watch the whale and dolphin shows during the day and stroll through the park, where you will find manatees, crocodiles, sharks, sea turtles, parrots, deer, and many other animals. You can also book the adventure of a lifetime and swim with the dolphins.

Key Biscayne

Crandon Park is a delightful 3km long beach with calm waters for kids, cabanas, a beach play area, a family recreation center with a carousel and skating rink, and a nature center. Kids over 42 inches can climb 112 steps to the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse for panoramic views.

Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove

Visit the Spanish Coco Walk shopping center outdoors for dinner or watching movies and ice cream. Then head to Peacock Park, where kids can climb two play structures and enjoy the ocean view with many boats. You must also get in the car to get to the neighborhood.

Emeril’s Miami Beach

Those in search of excellent Cajun cuisine, will not be disappointed when they visit the Emeril in Miami Beach, owned by the famous Emeril Legasse. This is an excellent restaurant for business and leisure travelers, and it will also be a fantastic romantic evening for two.

Tobacco Road

This restaurant has been around since 1912, and if you are looking for a good fat burger with all the ingredients, you should visit Tobacco Road. And while you eat, you will enjoy the incredible blues music of some of the best musicians.

Shorty’s Bar-B-Q

Here is a restaurant that does not have all the luxuries, but that has an excellent grill. And the prices are low so that you can feed your entire family on a limited budget.

Joe’s Stone Crabs

It is a great fishing spot that has operated since 1913 and is open during the crab season (October 15 to May 15). Located in South Beach, this is the place to go if you are looking for good rock crab food.

Azul

If you and your partner enjoyed a romantic dinner for two, you would love Azul at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Brickell Key. Dive into the water and the sky of Miami while you want a delicious meal.

Flamingo Park – Miami Beach

Flamingo Park - Miami Beach

There is plenty to keep the family active in this 30-acre park. The kids’ area is a big draw with a no-entry pool, water mushrooms, and a water play facility with swings, slides, and plenty of fountains. The owners of the establishment can visit a dry playground and a climbing wall.

The Big Tomato

Are you a pizza expert? In that case, you should try the Big Tomato pizzas, where you will find Chicago deep dish pizzas with Californian ingredients.

Anacapri Italian Restaurant

You can find incredibly delicious Italian dishes here, and you don’t have to dress unless you want to, of course. There is also a market in Italy that connects to the Anacapri Italian restaurant.

Here you can buy pasta, meat, and cheese. It is a popular place, so making a reservation is a good idea. The Anacapri Italian restaurant is at the bottom of my list of things to do in Miami with kids.
